Dr. Leslie BedellDr. Leslie Bedell graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer Chiropractic College in 1984 and has owned and operated Agape Chiropractic Healing Center in North Bend, Wa. since 1987. Her practice has focused on family spinal health care based on a wellness model. A primary component of her patient care is education about the Vertebral Subluxation and its effect on quality of life.Dr. Bedell has conducted clinical research in childhood and adult ADD/ADHD and has published research in the area of women’s health. She has spoken domestically and internationally in the areas of immunizations, innate healing, pediatrics and pregnancy. Dr. Bedell was a keynote speaker at the Chiropractic Association of South Africa’s Annual Congress in 2001 and 2002. Her continuing education has included Advanced Proficiency Certification for Activator Methods, Torque Release Technique (used in the addiction recovery process), and Upledger Training in Cranial Sacral Techniques: CS1, CS2, SER1, SER2, and Pediatrics (mind-body connection and healing process). She is Vice-Chairperson of the World Chiropractic Alliance Council on Women’s Health and is a member of their International Board of Governors. Dr. Bedell has received training from Life Skills International, Aurora Co. to support facilitation of women’s groups in domestic violence prevention and emotional healing. She has co-founded Life Recovery Skills and participated in the development of the associated curriculum “Healing the Wounded Child”, a cornerstone component of the “Emotional” section of the Quadrant Healing program. She has been trained by Cloud-Townsend Communications and facilitates their curriculum (Boundaries, Safe People, Changes that Heal, How People Grow) on a regular basis. Dr. Bedell is the co-director of the internationally acclaimed Celebrate Recovery Program, which is hosted by the Center for Marriage and Family of Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church, Snoqualmie Wa. Celebrate Recovery is a faith-based, structured 12-Step program addressing life’s hurts, habits and hang-up’s which supplements other 12-step programs such as AA, NA, and ACOA. As a recovering co-dependant, she recognizes the impact of addictive and compulsive behaviors within the family unit and the role the co-dependant can play in the recovery process.
